It might be a trend that the most recent book that I finish becomes my favorite.  I think it's because of a high I get from learning something new, or opening a piece of my brain that hadn't been open before.  Out of the Silent Planet was a tough read at the beginning because I'm not partial to British characters or British style of speech, word spelling, etc.  This book has been one of the more challenging reads for me due simply to vocabulary and the small size of the text in its pages.

I found myself wanting to stop to reflect as I read, but equally wanting to press forward and read what happens next.  There was a sense of closure after finishing the book, but I am anxious to see how the next book in the series, Perelandra, connects to Out of the Silent Planet.

This is a book that I will reread at some point.  More thoughts to follow as I figure out what I'm thinking.

If you look for truth, you may find comfort in the end; if you look for comfort you will not get either comfort or truth only soft soap and wishful thinking to begin, and in the end, despair. --C. S. Lewis
